Relationships
Do you have a best friend? Do you have a best co-worker or work spouse? On holidays are you surrounded by friends and family? How strong are your relationships? At some point in all of our lives we are challenged with balancing our work, our family, our friends and our me-time. And, when this happens, the positive relationships we had can take a turn for the worse. What can you do to maintain balance in your life so that your relationships with those closest to you not only remain in tact, but thrive? Depending on who you turn to for advice there are a few mandatory actions we should all take. These include: Putting yourself in the other person's shows before passing judgement. Counting to 10 before making a statement that is not positive. Stopping the first word that comes our of your mouth from being "no." Finding quiet time to reflect on the day or week to see how you could, or should act differently in the future. Whether you follow this advice or not, life is better when you have a network or community that you know will be there when you need them. No one can succeed in life alone, so why try? Instead, learn to create a positive balance in your life that will allow you to now only make the most of the relationships you have, but also help those you have relationships with to take away positive experiences that they can pass along to others. Remember, a little kindness goes a long way.
